Low Light Defensive Pistol Class
Low Light Defensive Pistol is designed to teach how to use a hand held flashlight and/or weapon mounted light on a firearm.
Full Description: The ‘bad guy’ never sleeps! This is why you need to take our Low Light Defensive Pistol Class. Students learn to shoot their firearm with a handheld flashlight, gun mounted light or other ambient light. Since a huge percentage of today’s crime happens after dark, this class is a must for both CCL permit holders and home defenders. It is critical to train in conditions you may be faced with in the real world. Level the playing field with those who wish you harm with our exclusive Low Light Defensive Pistol Class. Students must pass qualification test to pass this class.

This class consists of 6 hours of range time.
Prerequisites: YES
Either NRA Basic Pistol or RDA CCL 1 and RDA CCL 2 are the prerequisites for this class.

To teach students how to prevail in low light situations

Any age may attend, but those under 18 must be accompanied by participating parent or guardian. Prospective students under 21 years of age please contact us at training@rdarms.com.

Do I need flashlight?
Yes, please bring a small handheld light.
Do I need a firearm mounted light?
No, but it is recommended if your firearm is capable of mounting one.
Does the shooting portion of class actually take place in dark conditions?
Yes, class starts out in light conditions and transitions into darkened conditions.
Why should I take lowlight training?
A large percentage of incidents where firearms are needed for self defense take place after dark.
Do I need prior training to attend?
Yes, but you will need to complete a Pre-Course Evaluation prior to taking this class. We do recommend the classes in our prerequisite tab to take full advantage of the low light training class.
Can I have a laser mounted on my firearm?
Yes, you can have a laser mounted on your firearm.

FOID Statement: Illinois residents that will be TRANSPORTING their own firearm to and from the class/range must be in possession of a valid FOID/CCL card, and be of legal age, 21 for handguns, and 18 for long guns. A FOID card is not required to participate in the class. Out of state residents need to follow the age requirements and have a valid ID.
