In order to complete the process, you must personally visit the Red Dot Arms store in Lake Villa, IL to complete the required paperwork, present a legal form of identification, present your valid FOID card (for Illinois residents), and pay the fee. Be aware that this starts the waiting period of 24 hours for a long gun, and 72 hours for a hand gun. In the meantime, a Red Dot Arms associate will review the firearm transfer request form you submitted to verify we have all the necessary information to accept the transfer.
